E1

What is E1?

E1 is a European Telco Standard that carries data at 2.048 Mbps over copper wire.

How does Optic Fibre & Wireless (OFW) use E1?

OFW uses E1 to compliment our high-bandwidth solutions where faster or more economical services may not be available.

Why would your organisation use E1?

Many organisations are upgrading their E1 circuits to fibre or wireless solutions. E1 provides a dependable solution up to 2 Mbps where no other faster service is available. If you currently operate with an E1 contact us to discuss how we may provide you with a more economical solution.

How does an E1 work?

An E1 works in much the same way as an ISDN service, using existing telephone infrastructure. In fact, E1 is 32 ISDN services combined together.
